He plays guitar and also writes the music.
Max collects broken lamps.
VIENNA CASTLE
Vienna is Max Coburn’s newest foster sister.
She’s a teenage tomboy who lives on a goat farm and owns a
horse

BENNY PATTERSON
Benny is the teenager who lives next door to the Castle
family.
He’s carefree and he also owns a horse.
He is a drummer.
YORO TAPP
Yoro is a teenager with a brilliant mind.
He is dealing with the challenges of divorcing parents and
an annoying little brother.
Yoro lives for the day he can get even with Neddie.
He is a saxophone player.
NEDDIE TUCKER
Neddie is a rebellious teenager.
He lives with his alcoholic father.
Neddie does the lighting and setup for a blues band.
He’s jealous of Yoro Tapp who comes from a wealthy family.
Neddie thinks Yoro has everything
FAITH FATHINGBROOK
Faith is a glamorous teenager
She has a wild imagination that often gets them all into
trouble
Faith loves fashion
She plays the violin
REESE MCNAUGHTON
Reece is a cool guy who plays guitar and drums.
He also writes lyrics.
Reece is a latch-key kid who’s parents are rarely home.
KYOKO YAMAMOTO
Kyoko’s nickname is Koko
She writes poetry
ZERONA DEAN
Zerona is a teenager with a flair for writing.
She starts a writing club.
IZZY BEARING
Izzy is the new girl in Beedy
She has problems at home and one friend in particular
figures out what it is.
They team up so they can both benefit from their problems.
RODGER DANE
Roger is a classy teenager
He wears designer clothes and has been in love with Faith
Fallingbrook since grade school
He has a challenge when another guy likes her too.
They compete for her attention
LINCOLN LAWRENCE
Lincoln is a musical genius
His father has a band called the Leroy Lawrence Blues Band
Lincoln’s father is always on the road and Lincoln doesn’t
want to be a musician because of it.
UMBERTO MANCINO
Umberto is Yoro’s cousin.
He loves to dance and every chance he gets he salsa dances.
He likes Zerona but hasn’t got the nerve to ask her out.
REDMOND SHUSTER
Redmond’s nickname is Red-Shooter
A redheaded teenager with a sense of humour.
Red plays the banjo.
LISA BROOKS
Lisa is beautiful and bossy and thrives on gossip
She is a dancer
RIDDLE O’REILLY
Riddle is an athlete.
Her sister has gone to University and she’s lonely because
of it
BUTCH RYDER
Butch is overweight and frustrated because of it.
He’s always trying to figure out a way to lose weight.
JACK LLOYD
Jack needs a heart transplant.
He has been ill for a long time and he’s read so many books
that he appears to be a genius.
Jack dreams of getting better so he can play hockey.

Al is Max Coburn’s counselor from the Children’s Aid
Society.
He is a fun loving single man, who tries to encourage Max to
face his responsibilities.
GIN CASTLE
Gin is Vienna’s mother and Max Coburn’s foster mother.
Gin grew up in foster care and now takes in foster boys with
her husband.
Gin is straight forward and says it like it is
JACOB CASTLE
Jacob’s nickname is Jake
Jacob is Vienna’s father and Max’s foster father.
He is good natured and has a sense of humour
KATE FALLINGBROOK
Kate is Faith Fallingbrook’s mother.
She sells real estate and is also an artist who sells her
drawings when she can.
She is a single mother.
KELLIE PATTERSON
Kellie is Benny and Roy’s mother.
She has a strong Irish accent and a quick temper. Whenever
there’s a bad situation she turns it into a calamity.
LUKE PATTERSON
Luke is Benny and Roy’s father.
He is a dairy farmer - relaxed and calm - the total opposite
to his emotional wife
VITTORA TAPP
Vittora is Yoro and Mitch’s mother.
She and her husband are planning their divorce but taking a
long time to do it.
Vittora runs a perfect household - neat and meticulous at
all times.
She is an architect
WILLIAM TAPP
William is a businessman.
He is very disillusioned because of the divorce
MIKE BRENNEN
Is a wealthy real estate tycoon and politician
He hates children - especially the foster boy, Max Coburn
MILLIE BRENNEN
Millie is Mike Brennan’s wife
She is classy and intelligent
She has never been around children before and finds the
teenagers in Beedy Village most entertaining - contrary to
her husband - who can’t stand them
BOB NEWTON
Bob’s nickname is Shish-ka-bob
He owns The Love Seat Restaurant in Beedy Village.
He lives upstairs in his restaurant
He has no family
JIM LLOYD
Jim is Jack Lloyd’s father
He owns several businesses in town.
Jim is a widower
IVY CROFT
Ivy owns Halo Recording Studio.
Her only goal in life is to make money - lots of money!
ART HALO
Art is Ivy Croft’s brother.
He’s carefree and fun - a total contrast to his sister
Art works the mixing board at the recording studio
THADDEUS TUCKER
Thaddeus’s nickname is Tuck
He is an alcoholic and his wife left him
He raises Neddie on his own.
He doesn’t know how to cook so they go to The Love Seat
restaurant every night for dinner.
ARLENE O’REILLY
Arlene is Riddle’s mother.
Arlene is a lawyer and she has a carpenter’s workshop at
home.
All the kids go to Arlene’s house when something needs
fixing - this includes a broken heart or a deflated ego.
RON O’REILLY
Ron is Riddle’s father.
He’s an accountant and also a dancer
ALFIE HAWN
Alfie is 81 years old.
He lives alone and goes fishing.
He is Neddie’s mentor
Everyone in Beedy talk to him when they have problems
