Bitter Max Coburn is a teenage foster boy who has been in trouble all of his life.  All he wants to do is reach the age of 18 and be on his own.  His councillor has placed him in rural Beedy Village and Max is prepared to rebel - or run.  He thinks life in the country will be dull, but his new foster sister introduces him to her crowd.  If Max thought he got into trouble before, he finds a whole new kind in Beedy Village.
